Perez Galdos
Turning an existing building into a home requires a careful reading of what is already there. The project, on Calle Pérez Galdós in Inca, adapts the building to its new use while respecting its scale and its relationship with the street.
The plan is organised around a central living space that runs through from front to back and gathers domestic life: sitting room, dining room and kitchen share light and breadth. Around it sit two studies, a bedroom and the bathrooms, acting as service bands that free the main space.
Towards the street, the facade is ordered by vertical openings protected by shutters, above a stone plinth. It is a restrained architecture that blends into the urban fabric and concentrates the value of the project in the quality of the interior.
